Moving back to the Midwest from New York, Robert and Doris Speer found comfort with Two Rivers. A personal connection with their banker was essential as they moved to a new neighborhood later in life. Dave Williams has worked to make his passion for helping others a reality. From moving to Iowa City and working full time while pursuing a Ph.D. in physical therapy to developing physical therapy clinics and a health club, and purchasing a medical building, Two Rivers has always supported Williams in his endeavors. Now, his business, Performance Therapies, is consistently growing and Two Rivers has been with him every step of the way. “I do all of my banking with Two Rivers including personal and business accounts,” Williams says. “They believe in doing things the right way and they’re really good about taking care of their clients, just like I am.”

Hung Nyugen knows what it’s like to juggle. As the owner of two small businesses, including a security company, Nyugen’s day is spent dividing his time between them. No matter what the day brings, he takes comfort knowing Two Rivers is always there. “They provide checking, savings, credit cards, loans, lines of credit, and insurance for me personally and my businesses,” he explained. “I see them a lot.” Nyugen prides himself on providing excellent customer service to his clients and feels Two Rivers shares that passion, too. “When I come in they know my name,” he said. “They’re not just my bankers. Dr. Daniel Sliwinski and Dr. Sara Sliwinski worked hard through optometry school and worked harder to acquire their own practice in Burlington, Iowa. “We knew buying the clinic would be difficult, and it was,” Sarah said. “But, I can honestly say the easiest part of the whole process was working with Two Rivers to get a commercial loan.”
Through every milestone as a married couple, the Sliwinskis relied on their partnership with Two Rivers. “We opened our savings and checking accounts with Two Rivers in 2011,” Daniel said. “Since then, we initiated our mortgage with them and now have started our business with them.” The Sliwinskis know that working hard and being patient can pay off in the long run and they are so thankful that Two Rivers has been patient with them for six years and counting as they have grown a business and a family.

As the Executive Director of Hope Haven Area Development Center, Bob Bartles works to enrich the lives of people in his community. Hope Haven’s newly built thrift store, Hopefully Yours, is just another example of his investment in Southeast Iowa. He has found a solid relationship with Two Rivers as the provider of support in more ways that one.
